It’s 8:30 in the morning and I just woke up to the high pitch sound of my alarm clock that is on the opposite side of my room. I realize that’s is Tuesday morning and that if I don’t get up I’ll miss my English class, so I quickly get up and throw on some neon leggings and a cut off sweatshirt. I fix my hair in a side pony, and make myself a bowl of cereal. I then walk outside my dorm room, and put on my walkman, and grab my bike to ride to class. When I got to class, we pulled out our paper and pens and began to take notes on the VHS that my teacher was showing us on how to properly write an argumentative essay. After class was finished, I got back on my bike and headed back to my dorm room. On the land line, I called my best friends and asked them to come over as soon as possible because we had to pick out what to wear for the Madonna concert that was being held at Germain arena on Saturday. We all were so excited, so when they came over I put the Madonna tape into my boom box and we all raided my closet trying to find something to wear. That night, I pulled out my type writer and began to write my essay that was due for English class. I seemed to be getting distracted though because a new episode of The Twilight Zone was airing and I was more focused on that then writing my essay. So instead, I climbed into my futon and watched television until I fell asleep.

Blog Seven: The Skunk Ape Tutorial
I found this tutorial to be very informational, and helpful if you have never heard this information before. If you have already been informed of how to write a research paper, then this tutorial may seem somewhat repetitive. What I liked the most out of this tutorial was the video that showed the different kinds of sources and described which ones are more reliable. I liked this part the best because usually, this is what my research papers usually lack in. In Composition One, I was lucky enough to have a lady from the library come in and teach me how to use the library’s databases which is usually the trickiest part of writing the paper because as freshmen in college this is something that we are new to. I definitely think that this tutorial should be given in Composition One because it would help with other classes that require you to write research papers, or even to teach you how to use different search engines. I felt like as if module 4 spent too much time talking about plagiarism. We get it...if you cheat then you will get kicked out of college! This tutorial pretty much went over everything I wanted to know about performing basic research and refreshed me on some of the unreliable/reliable search engines that we should use as college students.

Wild Hogs
If you are a middle aged person then Wild Hogs would definitely catch your attention. In the beginning of the trailer it says,"Have you ever had a bad day, week, or even year?" Most people can relate to this question and apply it to their life. Most middle age people often get caught up in the routine of their everyday life and start to take the little things for granted, and also start to play the "safe" card in life. Sometimes, a little fun in needed to spice up this short life that we are given. And this is what these four men set out on a mission to do. The visuals in this trailer mostly are humorous which catches the viewers attention as well as the audio. This once in a lifetime experience changes their outlooks on life and opens their eyes to what this world truly has in store. For all you folks who seem to be stuck in a rut of an everyday life then this is the movie for you. Almost all of us can admit that we become a victim to routine, and this movie will help open your eyes of how you should begin living for the moment. Life is short, so take risks, is the point that this trailer gives off.

"Less Privacy is Good for Us (and You)" #2
It is clear to see that in Etzioni's article private issues are very complex. Some people argue that personal private matters should be kept to yourself but others argue that when it comes down to health issues and such things like the overall well being of yourself and others, private matters should somewhat be exposed. For example, the mothers that are most likely to exposed to HIV should be tested for the disease when they are pregnant or before so that it will decrease the chances of their children from getting HIV. Also, people that are sex offenders are not allowed to work in child care areas. It has pretty much come to a agreement that when it comes to public interest, private matters must be dealt with differently. The major concern is public health and safety, and if that means stripping away some of your privacy then this must be done.

Untold Stories
In the series of Untold Stories, both the Seminole Indian tribe and the pioneers are represented. When I compare Immokalee to Tampa which is where I grew up it is clear to see that is is very different. Immokalee is built much more upon agriculture which a lot has to do with being so close to the Everglades. But even besides that, the town is heavily populated with Seminole Indians unlike where I grew up in. After I watched the video I was unable to classify whether or not Imokalee would be considered the "new" or "old" American Dream. I feel like they have their own classification. Yes, they are going through many changes but it is almost like they are isolated somewhat from the rest of the United States and have a little of their own culture. It is clear to see that agriculture will continue to be a profit and with the success of the casino's the Seminole's will continue to prosper. In time, I believe that Immokalee will change somewhat with the times but they will continue to live life on their own terms.

" A Quilt of a Country: Out of Many, One?"
In this article, Anna Quindel goes on to say that America has been composed of many different people from countries around the world, and that is what initially makes it America. She compares it to a quilt as in they both are made up of tiny little bits that work together to make a whole. She also says that because of America it can created a common ground for enemies to come together and be neighbors, the reason so is the fact that being from a different country but also being American creates a new identity. Hence the, African-American, Irish-American, etc. Quindel also says that the main reason that Americans have come together is because of tragedy, and because of the bad things that have happened to our country it has given us reasons to reflect on blessings.
I personally do agree with Quildel with her viewpoint that America has been composed of many cultures that have collaborated into one, that seems very obvious. However I do not agree with her when she states that being an American has created a common ground for people to get along. If this was true then racism would not exist, which it obviously still does very much so. I also did not agree with her statement that America is "a great country striving consisting frequently of failure". In all honesty, I believe that we have gone through some tough times but I wouldn't classify them as "failures". Personally, I do not think that we have ever completely failed as a country, but instead have learned from our mistakes and have made ourselves into a better country, and better citizens.
